Cheap driving lessons in Luton
There’s an old saying that goes something like, “you get what you pay for."
If you are looking for cheap driving lessons in Luton, then you really should ask yourself why the lessons are so cheap?
If you're looking for the cheapest holiday to Spain, what are you going to get? A 1 star, tired hotel. If you pay a little bit more you could get a 3 or 4 star hotel with respectable standards and some customer service.
The same principle applies to driving lessons in Luton. Pay peanuts, you get a monkey.
At Drive 247 Luton, we provide affordable driving lessons. We are not the cheapest and we are not the most expensive either. Our lesson prices are somewhere in the middle. We are very good at keeping our overheads low, so we can pass the savings onto our customers but, at the same time, it’s important our instructors are paid well so we have the best instructors.
What to look for in a driving instructor
- Make sure they are fully qualified. If you are looking around and you find a very cheap driving instructor, make sure you find out if they are fully qualified. There are many trainee driving instructors out there. Unfortunately, there are even some instructors out there who are disqualified from instructing, driving or both.
- Ask about the car you are learning in. You should want to learn in a modern vehicle that is no more than 5 years old. If your instructor's vehicle is 10-15 years old, that might explain why their lesson prices are so low. Any car that is that old is not usually reliable. If the car is off the road then this may affect your lessons or even your actual driving test.
- Ask what grade your instructor is. All instructors are now graded either an A or B grade. It’s not a given but if you learn with a higher grade instructor there is a high chance you will learn quicker and save money in the long run.
Many instructors think the grading system is unfair and doesn’t mean anything, but you'll usually find that the instructors who complain about this are usually a grade B making excuses for their lower grade. Nobody who is a grade A complains.
- Look out for testimonials via Facebook and online reviews. An instructor with no testimonials may have just started up or just qualified. Obviously, you don’t want to learn with an instructor with lots of negative reviews either. If an instructor has an occasional bad review, don’t be too put off. You can’t please everyone in life. In a way it’s a plus there is the odd negative review as it shows the instructor/driving school's reviews are genuine. Many large companies pay for fake online reviews, misleading the consumer.
